Flexibility is King in today's workforce. Both white and blue-collared workers have something in common; leverage in motivational incentives to achieve work-life balance.

So what's the next big idea? Paid Workcations. This is a new concept where employers pay for traveling expenses and furnished workforce rental accommodations for their key hires to “enjoy” their flexibility and either be closer to family or enjoy outdoor activities while on assignment or after work projects are completed.

Say goodbye to pizza parties in the breakroom.

Say goodnight to Employee of the Month parking spaces.

The late great tech giant Steve Jobs once said, "Innovation distinguishes a leader from a follower." These words of wisdom echo much louder today as talent acquisition partners and recruiters are working in overdrive to perform.

Yet, the writing on the proverbial wall suggests that yesterday's price isn't today's. Pre-COVID hiring packages are unattractive.

Experts now agree smart companies will begin to experiment.

HR Benefits Specialist Rey Ramirez tells "CNBC Make It" that the vast majority of job-seekers he has interacted with won’t even consider a role if it fails to accommodate some form of remote-work flexibility.

“Right now, if you're not offering a flexible or remote program, you’re missing out on 50%-70% of candidates,” says Rey Ramirez, co-founder of Thrive HR Consulting, "which advises companies across tech, construction, financial, and other services how to set up and manage hybrid teams." Along with co-founder Jason Walker, the consultants have spent 2021 advising clients on how to be competitive in the hiring market, particularly when it comes to supporting and paying remote workers.

However, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta (formerly known as Facebook) struck first to survey their employees, restructure operations for permanent remote work options, and hire upper-level management positions to oversee remote work.

So what's the next big idea? Paid Workcations.

Note: The average workforce rental are as low as $3900 and up to $8500 per month. The freedom and flexibility to travel out-weighs traditional new hire bonuses.

Employee Experience Specialist Don Beken says, “I now regularly discuss workcations and long weekend workaways to sweeten the pot.”

“As employers remain sensitive to ‘salary equity’ in this ever-changing talent environment, creative options are gaining steam. A workcation or long weekend work away can be a wonderful perk as a sign-on or retention bonus without impacting the compensation mix. This trend will only gain steam as the battle for talent continues to heat up,” says Don Beken, Managing Principal of SearchBeken Talent Solutions, which advises clients primarily in the Life Science, Construction and Engineering industries on creating more compelling offers.

Workbnb, Inc. CEO & Chairman Yeves Perez (Left) and President Daj'Anique Staples (Right) state the Workbnb App will be ready for beta testing this Winter.

Utilizing the Workbnb platform in 2022 will make this process simple and less time-consuming.

Adding a "Paid Workcation" to the package could be the difference between winning and closing A-Player talent.

In a recent segment of Marketplace titled "Why More Companies are Hiring Heads of Remote Work", a professor of management at Wharton School, Peter Cappelli, has been studying remote work since it was known as telecommuting. Peter says, "Frankly, most (other companies) are watching, see what everybody else does."
